Beth Moore Simulcast at Mainstreet Baptist

I wanted to update everyone about the Beth Moore Simulcast at Mainstreet Baptist. It was incredible! We had a great time. Sheila Wright, Shonda Justus, Kelly Miller, Lacy Jones, Sherry Price and myself attended along with 300 plus other women at Mainstreet. It was being simulcasted all over the world in China, Japan, Canada, you get the idea. Such a great spirit and presence of the Lord was felt.

I will be looking for more events like this to attend this year, I hope you will be able to join us on some of them.

The key points from Beth Moore Living Proof:

1. We were created for "Good Company" I pray you surround yourself
with good company.
2. An individual calling can only be fulfilled in a "we" context.

3. God never over looks a single "me" in the bigger "we".

4. Jesus became a friend of sinners so we could become a friend of God.

5. We can rely in the certainty of the things we have been taught.

6. Jesus has passed the salt.

7. We are now the convincing proofs that Jesus is alive!

Praying all have a blessed week.

Missions Celebration!

I am so excited today is the Missions Celebration at Turner Ridge at 2:00. We have been planning for this day for so long, a year, it is the celebration of every opportunity God has given us this year to Glorify Him.

I have been looking forward to hearing Loran and Devin share about their mission experiences this summer to Brazil and Peru and also to hear about Devin's work at camp this summer.

We have displays set up in the back alot of women have been working to help make this happen and I so appreciate each of you.

There is a very special display I want each of you to check out, Miss Amanda Bruin is in Honduras as we speak on the mission field and I have some information on how we can help her while she is there. You are going to want to check out what is going on in her life and how you can be a part in bringing God to the children in Destino.

Pray for today, Pray for Loran and Devin as they share and Diane Carter and Renee Brandenburg as they bring special music, the Ridge Ringers will be ringing their bells to a joyful sound. It should be a great day of worship and fellowship, hope you can be there.

Younique Gifts & Talents

Missons Camp was a huge success and I want to thank Loran Brown for all her hard work organizing the camp.

I would also like to thank all the workers who came and helped out and the parents who came and brought their children.

It was a great time of fellowship for everyone who came and a time of growing closer with God. We had morning and evening devotions, bible study, mission groups and evening worship, along with lots of fun on the rope courses where we learned alot about team work, zip lining, tye dye t-shirts, music, dance, art and more.

We made new friends and three were added to the Family of God, Allie Dixon, Jenna Brandenburg & Rosie Duncan.

We talked alot about the gifts and talents each one is given and how we can use them to Glorify God.

Our Missions Celebration is being planned for September 18, 2011 at 2:00 and your going to want to be there!

Our guest speakers are Miss Loran Brown and Miss Devin Harris wait to you hear how God has been using these ladies and their Younique gifts and talents to bring glory to His name.

I will also have information on how we can help Miss Amanda Bruin with
her mission trip to Honduras this year. Hope to see you there.

So, I leave you with this question, "How are you using your Younique gifts and talents to bring Glory to God?"

Unhindered!

What hinders you from hearing God's call in your life?  Have you thought about that question?  There is so much noise in the world today.  Take time to sit down today and be quiet and listen....  What is God saying to you?  Find a nice quiet place, get out your Bible, get your journal and spend some serious time soul searching pour out your heart to God and then just be still and listen.  What is he saying to you ?

TRBC Women on Mission

Welcome to the Turner Ridge Baptist Church Women on Mission Blog Page.   The purpose of this Blog is to try and help all of us stay connected in this busy fast paced world we live in.  I am new to blogging and will need you to be patient with me as I try and figure this out.  We have an awesome Facebook Page but I wanted to create a way that we could stay connected on line for those who do not have a Facebook Account.

Change a Life, Change the World continues to be the motto for Women on Mission.

This year our theme is God's Spirit Unhindered!

Our Bible Verse is  Hebews 12:1-2   "Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perserverance the race marked out for us.  Let us fix our eyes upon Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."

What we do as Women on Mission

1. We pray for and give to Missions
2.  Do Missions
3.  Learn About Missions Lifestyle
4.  Participate in the work and outreach efforts at Turner Ridge Baptist Church

As I look back over our past year we have been very busy and it has been an exciting year for missions at Turner Ridge Baptist Church.   We are planning a Missions Celebration for September and more information will follow when I speak to a few ladies and have a date set.

We are also looking forward to the Beth Moore Simulcast on September 10  hosted by Main Street Baptist Church.  There are sign up sheets in the front and back of the church or you can contact Christy for more information.

Family Missons Night in July we had an awesome time of bible study and fellowship we read from Matthew 25: 34-46  and gave a report back from the mission trip the church took to Whitley City, Ky.

Last night I was able to go with the R.A.'s,G.A.'s and Acteens as they visited the Bedford House and sang Happy Birthday to the residents with birthdays this month.  This is a great ministry and it was fun to watch the youth participate and sing to the residents and the smiles on the faces of the residents.  They brought Jesus love to the Bedford House.  How Awesome is this!

We are looking forward to the Missions Reteat next week at Potter's Ranch.  I am so excited to see what Loran has planned for us.  Aug 4-Aug 7.

Our group is responsible for the food for the Friday night meal if you can help with this please let me know.

I leave you with this question to ponder,  What hinders you from hearing God's call for your life?

That's all I have for now.  With much love til next time, May God Shine His Glory Upon You!
